Fibro Easter Egger baby chicks are now available at My Pet Chicken! They are an exceptional addition to your flock, known for their unique characteristics, including their body's mostly black pigment: comb, beak, skin, wattles, internal organs, meat, and bones (their blood is not black, however). This hyperpigmentation is caused by a genetic condition known as fibromelanosis.
Egg Color and Production: The Fibro Easter Egger is a great layer of large blue or green eggs. A small percentage of Fibro Easter Eggers will lay a white or cream-colored egg. You can expect your Fibro Easter Eggers to lay 3-4 eggs per week!
Appearance: Their color is the most notable characteristic, setting this chicken apart from other breeds. The degree of black feathering on Fibro Easter Eggers will vary, but the skin, legs, and lobes will be black-colored or with spots of black.
In addition to their unique black skin coloring, the Fibro Easter Egger has a clean leg appearance. Some will have fluffy muffs!
